A thirdorder semidiscrete centralupwind scheme for hyperbolic conservation laws was presented. The method was based on combining the thirdorder weighted essentially nonoscillatory reconstruction with the semidiscrete centralupwind numerical flux. The resulting scheme retained the main advantage of central schemessimplicity, and the numerical results showed the highresolution of the method.
